This isn't the best picture of myself or my baby (in this picture he is about 2 weeks old)...but you can see how big and alert he is. He was over 10 pounds at birth and 20 and a half inches long.

Wish I could be alert too! I look like I am smiling while asleep here LOL...Little Man is behind me, checking out everything.

Darla - HUGS - Congratulations! Wow, you both look so good! We had our babies really close to each other. I was having labor contractions the whole week prior to having my baby - and here you were induced! Isn't that ironic?

I sure enjoyed reading your blog today. You crack me up, especially this one:

"He slept for about 3 hours last night on my chest. I wasn't the most comfortable, but right now I will take sleep of any quality, as long as it's sleep. To get a feel for what it's like, borrow a friend's 10 lb bowling ball, wrap it in a receiving blanket, heat it in the microwave, and place on chest - now try to sleep for 2-3 hours. LOL"

Oh, I can relate. Autumn likes to sleep right next to me or on top of me. She does NOT like to sleep alone.

Well, I think we should lose weight together. I, like you, am almost back to my pre-preg weight, but I was overweight at that point by 10-15lbs, so that is the weight I need to lose.

Hey, great news, books arrived yesterday and I'll send some your way in a day or two.

CINDY, thank you :) I always love seeing that you've visited my blog. I don't get over to your blog nearly enough. I wish I had more time in the day!

TERRI, I am so excited to see the books!

I'm glad you liked the post about the bowling ball...but a sign that I'm not sleeping should have been obvious to me that nobody could heat up a bowling ball in a microwave oven...I should have said just oven! But you got the

You sound like you are getting plenty of rest, which is good...I keep getting close to getting sick...cold/flu/stomach virus?!? but then it passes in a day or so...I just keep taking those prenatal vitamins and trying to eat well and drink plenty of water to keep from getting sick. The baby sleeps (occasionally) in 3-4 hour blocks, which is a dream come true when it happens!
