JINKIES!!!
Is this Velma from the Scooby Doo Gang?

Nope, it's just me, in my new glasses...the geometric style doesn't mesh with my hairstyle, so that will be the next thing to go. Compare with old glasses.

These are Prada glasses, dahlink...which is such a crock, because I'm sure Prada really had nothing to do with these, other than selling the name.

Thank goodness for a good vision plan...these would've been over $520 but with the vision plan they were about $200. So I 'saved' $320 eh? I don't know how I saved money by spending money, but okay, I'll play along. LOL!

In any case, my look jumped from 1987 to 2005...and with the advances in optics, the lenses are SO thin and light, it's amazing! (my prescription usually meant my eyeglasses would look really thick like bottle glass) so I'm happy with these.

I wear contacts, so I haven't updated my glasses since 1998. They are huge and round like your old glasses. I think the rectangle glasses look awesome on people now. That is actually the type I am looking for now.

Since my glasses are 7 years old and I go blinder every year, I need to update my glasses. I need to take someone with me though because I have a panic attack trying to pick frames by myself!

Hi Cindy, well it was hard to pick the new glasses, but there wasn't much range of styles at my eye doctor's eyewear boutique...either granny glasses or go geometric. So I went kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, but now that I am here, I am rather enjoying it. LOL

Time now to think of some new foundation makeup though...nothing like a photo to point out that my face shouldn't be pink and my neck another color altogether! 'Color matching' makeup...riiiight. Or maybe the color just matches when there isn't a camera flash!
