I got an email from one of the sites that I received an award from. They couldn't locate my link to them. So, I emailed them back to tell them where their link could be found. (on the Awards page, imagine that!) Today I checked my email and they are informing me that they 'require' that their link be either on the main page of the site or just one click away from it. If I put everyone's link on the main page or just one click away from it, do you know how TACKY my site would look? I hate to lose my link from that site, because it was a pretty nice link partner, but oh well. It is definitely not my best link in to my site so I am going to just let it go. I can't serve everyone I link with in this way, nor do I require people who link my site to link my site where I want them to. I can't treat one like a princess and the rest like normal folk LOL.
Support equal rights through linking - hahah!

I am probably a bit testy because I have been fighting some kind of virus. I have had some fever, but I have no idea how much fever, because Little Man (nearly 2 years old now) has played with the digital thermometer and now I can't find it anywhere. I've had that nasty sore throat and ears that hurt when I swallow.

Well I'm online early so I can get some stuff done. I better get on with it.

Life changing site of the day: http://www.debra.org/
We saw a documentary about Jonny Kennedy, who died of EB two years ago. The documentary is called The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off.
What an incredible man, hopefully through his efforts to bring awareness to this skin disease it can be eradicated so others won't have to go through what he suffered. Please order the EB Awareness fundraiser bracelets!!!!

Here is a portrait from a couple years ago that I never had photographed or scanned. The client was nice enough to send me a digital picture of it. Some glare, but it was still nice to see it again, and so nice to see framed and on the wall!

Last night we ate at what we thought was an Italian restaurant.
It was actually a Bosnian-Greek-Italian restaurant.
I had a 'burger' that was stuffed with Provolone cheese.
I think the meat was actually veal or lamb.
Whatever that meat is that they make Gyros out of.
My stomach has been dancing
to Fiddler on the Roof all night.

Here is a link that should get us off the computer and decluttering.
(when I get over the heebie jeebies that is!) Check out all the neat
little piles of stuff...and ignore the links because they are just
affiliate links to Ebay so our houses can look like this too! Ah well
even packrats have to make a buck! LOL

http://www.auctions-registration.com/ebay/
If that link doesn't work, try http://tinyurl.com/alw7e

I just hope these people don't live near where they have earthquakes.
This made me sad because if you notice the bookcases, there are some
family pictures in there...somewhere...it is literally and
figuratively how family and love have been pushed aside for all this junk.

They could really use FlyLady.

Update on June 21st: Showed the link to my husband, who said, 'who are you to judge?'
yes that is true...if they are happy with all that stuff there, that's their business...but if you read what the daughter says about her mother, clearly not all family members are happy with the situation.
I guess it depends if the daughter has to live there or not...or if she is old enough to strike out on her own. Daughters are always quick to criticize their moms I know! :) PS, my dh is being defensive partially because of his piles of stuff in our house ( I could share pictures online too but I won't) LOL

I gave up on the idea of having DD2 go to Sylvan for tutoring. 4K is just too much, considering she just needs to pass the math portion of the Georgia CRCT. I went online looking for software test preparation stuff, and came across a site called MaxSkills.com. I was able to get a test prep kit (software and book) for less than $30 total. It should arrive today. So we'll work on this 16 hours a week and make sure she is tested in the program and passes with flying colors...in this way, we can avoid the whole hassle of summer school. If it works well, I will share the success...if it is not a good thing to do, I will share that too! But I have a good feeling about it.

Last night I had some more pregnancy dreams...not that they had anything to do with pregnancy. Ugh...I am tired just from the dream! Actually I guess it was more of a nightmare. I was back working at Waldenbooks...we had lines at all four registers. Everyone was angry and impatient. All the people I have ever worked with at Waldenbooks were there...well, the good workers anyway, thank goodness. One lady was trying to return a book with a receipt. The receipt looked nothing like our receipts and it was soaked with food grease. Looking through the haze of grease, I could see that it was a restaurant receipt. With a straight face, I explained this to the lady and her daughter. "Are you sure?" she asked. I assured her yes, I was sure...as we had had the same type of receipts since 1985, when I started working there. So she did what any receipt-saving-red-blooded-American-shopper would do...she dumped an entire purse-load of receipts on the counter and expected me to go through it to find HER receipt, while a line of 20 people behind her moaned. Ah yes, this dream was all TOO realistic!

I had the Level 2 Ultrasound today. It looks like it's a boy! Everything looks good, except there is excess amniotic fluid - which can mean I have gestational diabetes again. I will have the sugar tolerance test to check for sure for gestational diabetes on July 1st. Then I will go back to the ultrasound tech and they will check the amniotic fluid level again. The ultrasound pictures are SO good!

We got the assessment results back from Sylvan Learning Center for DD2. She failed the math CRCT test at school by TWO points! Argh!!! So either she needs to be tutored at Sylvan or privately, or go to summer school. She only failed the math portion. I would love to have her in Sylvan, but they estimate that it will be 108 hours of tutoring at $45 an hour (16 hours a week, going 1 hour for 4 afternoons a week) to achieve the goals. Yep it doesn't take a math genius to figure out that that is expensive. That will be over $4,000. I nearly fainted. Summer school is looking better all the time! I would rather have her in a specific tutoring program though, because that wouldn't waste time. She is a good reader and writer, but she would have to go through everything at summer school, whereas I feel her time would be better spent just working on the math. A good thing that came from the Sylvan assessment time was that I had time in the waiting room to get some drawing done.

We spent $160 at Express Oil Change having the air conditioning on our car flushed out and refilled. It worked great yesterday. All of a sudden, it doesn't work today. What a drag...so we will need to take it back there. Probably a leak in a hose. In any case, grrr! It is very hot down here in Georgia now. I sweated all the way to my doctor's appointment. It is very tiring to be pregnant in a hot metal box.
